I feel the need to chip in and say that I have one of these and it is a real joy to ride - not as stodgy as a serious tourer, so quite a lot of fun for up hill and down dale, and weaving through London traffic (which is now how I use mine). Possibly built by Nigel Dean? Mine came with XT hubs on campag rims, and an XT 7x3 groupset.

This is now sold.
F.W. Evans, 531
I bought this a little while back in the midst of an ill-judged "maybe I just need a normal road bike to, like, ride around on the roads on" phase. It's a pretty traditional 56cm/22" c/c geometry, which for some reason I thought would fit me at 6'1"ish. It does not.
Plenty of, ahem, patina, but no dings or dents and mechanically its great - the gears and brakes work as they should, v recent chain + cables, the bb and wheel bearings are nice and smooth. It's got quite a short stem on it at the moment, friction shifting, schwalbe marathons, wheels are 700c so tyre options are good.
It's a nicely constructed, relatively lightweight bike that rides sweetly.
I'm in Camberwell, and I'd like £180 for it please.
