Good thread Arvy.
The wider point of people using a cycle as a mobility aid, and then getting denied access unless they are in a mobility scooter or wheel chair, or made to use crutches to get around the supermarket.
You may know Kevin

The only place that was adamant about me not bringing the Brompton in was the picturehouse central - they eventually found a broom cupboard to put it in while I watched a film

Puregym wont allow a Brompton in their gyms, no idea why.

Bonus points if you've been denied entry, then gone back with the Brompton in a bag and have been allowed in with it.

I'm fascinated to know what you are doing at the gym.
If the answer isn't SAUNA & STEAM, I will just be disappointed.Do PG know this is why you have cancelled? Instead of responding to their needy post cancellation email, this definitely demands at least 3 pages in purple ink to the CEO/Southern area manager.

NikeTown - the only place in 12 years of Brompton blagging..
Inspired by an incident I had yesterday and this reddit thread (https://www.reddit.com/r/Brompton/comments/oxtxp6/bringing_your_brompton_inside_businesses_schools/)
I was denied entry into HCA healthcare - Chiswick - no bike policy (https://www.hcahealthcare.co.uk/)
There was a bit of arguing and the upshot was a man watching my bike, which had to be left outside. Total nonsense. But he was lovely.
All stories of nonsense and all real folding bikes welcome*
PS anyone who can deploy the @Mikey5000 line about 'you would let in a pram' gets bonus points
*not those jokers with the 24 inch wheels who think their bike qualifies
