When you think what it would cost to have that made and then the paint job, that's an excellent buy.

So cool isn’t it, managed to grab that cannondale t600
Gonna 1x it and do commuter vibes
i bought this in NOS condition amidst my worst crust lightning bolt era in late 2021 and rode it for a year as my primary road bike. have now built something better suited for my needs and hence the sale.
needless to say it's very rare and this is why i'm struggling to price it. it was the top of the line cross bike in the early 90s, i believe this specimen is '93 plate. the lugged narrow diameter tange prestige tubing provides a cushy ride. this bike sings. interestingly it also has guard and rack mounts despite being specced as a race bike. a cross race in the morning and a tour in the afternoon grindset. the slightly longer stays also suggest this.
my initial idea was to convert it to 650b to further increase the clearance, but came to my senses as the milky way paint was too nice to ruin. the clearance is decent already at 700c, i managed to squeeze 38mm gk slicks at a push and ran challenge strada biancas in 36mm comfortably.
as the photos hopefully show, the condition is still very presentable. just a couple of small chips and the usual headtube cable rub. i've procured the correct seatpost binder bolt and a blue lug downtube cable stop cover from japan. the pictured 26.8mm ritchey by nitto seatpost and the smoothly turning tange seiki headset are also included in the sale.
some specs:
56.5cm c2c tt, 56.5cm c2c st
130mm oln
26.8mm seatpost
1" headtube
