Most durable pants?

  • Messengers and commuters what are in your experience the most durable pants. I like to wear something with a more urban style. I have tried Duer jeans. They last a bit longer than 511’s but I don’t think they are that durable. I’ve tried the Chrome shorts, quite durable. Brannan pants look alright too. Any others?

  • swrve durable cotton are imo very durable.

  • ….. pants …. ?

Always go to Marks & Sparks for your smalls.

  • I had to throw a pair away today, I've gone right through the gusset.

  • Dickies are decent. I got about a year out of my last pair.

  • I work as a courier and have been wearing these for 2-3 years now:

Stretchy material, crotch and knees are reinforced with a cordura type material. Belt is thin and stretchy so doesn’t irritate my hips. Ankles have elastic tightening so can avoid chain ring.

I could never go back to riding in jeans or dickies.

  • Swrve

  • Another vote for Swrve. I’ve had one pair of their jeans for 5+ years and still wear them, the only things that felt the test of time were the high-vis marking and the pockets needed some tlc stitching.

I also have a pair of their mid-weight trousers which are lighter and stretchier. Added them to the machine when I was reproofing a jacket and they hold up well against showers now.
