  • Wanderer touring frame and forks. 18" seat tube (equal to 21" approx conventional) 21" top tube in Reynolds 525 with a full set of touring braze ons. New frame, never built up, unpainted but a clear lacquer coat. This was a frame I took to shows to illustrate the quality of the build so the clear coat is to protect it indoors. It is a totally inadequate coating for use as the frame will rust rapidly so offering it at £400 as is and sort out your own paint or I will paint it and fit a headset for another £100

  • Spectacular!

  • If I had space for it I would be all over that.

  • I'm interested in this.
I'll pm you now for some details

  • Some really nice bargains from you!

  • “ It is a totally inadequate coating for use as the frame will rust rapidly”

Doesn’t stop half the lot here buying a custom steel frame and clear coating it ‘to appreciate the patina’ (while their investment rots away)

But to make a positive contribution to the thread - what is the wheel size? 700c or 26?

  • @D_Mars the Wanderer is 700c... DY's 26" tourer is the Wayfarer (I have one)...

    Lovely frame!

  • Actually, I’m out. It’s a bit too small.

  • Insane deal for someone.

  • I speak from experience 😁 Many years ago in the early 80s I built a TT frame for my business partner Joe Waugh to ride the Team Time Trial at the Common wealth Games in Australia. 753, lugless silver soldered with tiny fillets (I did it mainly because "they" said it couldn't be done 😉) It looked that nice we clear coated it but 6 months down the line it started to rust and we had to paint it. Incidentally the team won the Gold

  • Outrageous deal - would bite your hand off if it was a little bigger

  • If it helps anyone, I am planning to go up to Dave’s workshop on December 3rd.

Happy to bring this, or anything else back to London.

  • What a lovely frame!

  • Just remembered my old DY frame sold here years ago.

    Always with Impeccable workmanship

  • Hi. I’m very very interested. Can I talk sizing with you? I’m 1m55 with an inside leg of 84cm. Could I get this to work in your view?

  • It is nice. But not for me sadly.

  • Not quite sure he would do that for £100…

  • Hmm
    Probably black
    Well, not black exactly
A very, very, very, very dark blue
    Or grey
    Grey is nice

  • Amazed this is still here. What a bargain.

  • If I’d not bought my Thorn then I’d be right in here

  • As much as I’d LOVE this frame, I’ve finally decided, thanks to Dave’s sage advice, that it’s too small, so I’m out.

  • What height does @DaveYates recommend this for? It’s going to be too small for me too probably and I don’t need it , but…
