Nah that's the old one AFAIK. Tried one of the new ones, feels like it could be a really good bikepacking rig

The old one definitely was.
Not really bothered if it is a catalogue frame though. The price was decent and on cycleschme so probably cheaper all in than buying direct from China. Plus bike shop back up, warranty etc.
Having had a look around, I can't find a direct to consumer frame that's the same.
Should be fun.

I like the silver finishing kit in combination with this paintjob

It's actually green, just hard to tell in the pics.
I like the silver finishing kit but it will eventually go to make way for some bling integrated carbon stuff. The fork only really works with cables inside the bar, so il have to get some stick on cable guides for now. I want to make sure I'm happy with the fit set up before I spend a fortune on carbon bling. (I will add the matching zipp cages for now )
Groupset will be rival axs, I've got cassette and rear mech, just waiting on shifters. I've got an old 10 speed sram red crank that im tempted to use as its so light. But not sure. It might not look right. Half tempted by a middleburn.
Wheels...not sure probably carbon 29er rims. Maybe a Son 28 hub for future dynamo options.
Tyres. Not sure. I've used goodyear connector 50s before and like them.

Standard. Goes without saying, just Light Bicycle it and go all out. At this point, not sure I'd ever go aluminium rims again.

First time i've seen a silver finishing kit look good on a modern frame

Ordered some tyres today. Pirelli cinturato H in 700 x 50. Should be interesting
Going to use my slightly too narrow 35mm deep cross race wheels for a bit.

Yeah that’s looks fun - I’d be interested to hear how the 50mm tyres ride on road.

• #20
What gearing are you running?
-
• #21
I've had 50mm tyres before. Basically feels like a slow road tyre...or a fast 29er tyre. You get used to it very quickly

At the moment it's a 42ring and 10-44 cassette. Il switch the ring down do a 38 at some point.

Fairly similar set up to mine, would be curious to know weight with all the gubbins on.

Whatever integrated stem-handlebar combo you'll get, get it painted to match the seatpost/frame!

Not weighed it yet. But its heavy in this set up. Finishing work at 2 and taking it for a shakedown
Time for another project
