Looking for 700c mudguards!

Dear Forum!

I'm looking for some mudguards for my dawes road bike. The clearance is tight, but with some tinkering I should get something like 40mm width to fit. So 40mm or narrower would be awesome, and I would prefer metal! Something like the Portland Design Works or Kinesis fend off. They can be a bit ratty, no problem, the frame is too.

I’ve a set of PDW guards but they’re the 30mm version. Maximum I got within were 28mm.
