which thread is stripped? you can repair threads with something called a helicoil (brand name, plenty of cheap ones available too). essentially it comes as a kit that helps you tap a larger thread, then you insert the coil into the larger thread and it makes it back into the original size thread. possibly worth a try?
edit: not that you asked for advice, but apparently I can't help myself.
edit 2: e.g. for an m3 thread https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/144779540543

uh! nice one! Since I don't have many options this might be a solution, thanks!

You might also be able to repair that using a rivnut - but there's a bit more depth to a rivnut. I've used them with a bit of epoxy. You don't have to use the rivnut tool - as long as its a tight fit.

Hi, everyone,
By any chance, anyone has a faulty Mega Drive 1800i?
I've wrecked a thread on the mounting plate and can't screw in a mount anymore.
Message Lezyne about this but nothing good came out of this.
I've attached which particular plate I'm after but could be the whole faulty unit
