Voile Straps to replace Thule wheeltrays? - what length

I have a couple of Thule racks on the car roof, and the wheeltrays either keep falling off or getting nicked, it's very odd... So I'm thinking about getting a few Voile straps instead to keep in the car and then deploy to fasten the wheels to the racks when needed. Firstly, I assume they would be strong enough for that? Secondly, any ideas what length straps I would need for that use - can't quite work out how to get the measurement of the Voiles right, so if anyone can advise that would be most helpful - thanks

I went for 15" with keepers, seemed to be closest match. Will report back in case of use for others in future.

Report back is that length was spot on, and that functionally they are excellent for the task - better and quicker than the actual wheel trays and straps in fact, and super solid when cinched down. Happy days. 👍🏼
