Factor LS frameset, size 52

This was bought almost exactly a year ago as a ‘do-it-all’ or ‘groad’ bike but it’s seen 75% road use and has been used exclusively on the road since March this year. It has the fantastic semi-clear lacquer and silver paintjob where the carbon weave is visible in the right light.

The geo (378R/547S) makes it IMO a little larger than a typical 52 and is perfectly suitable for ‘sporty’ riding on road or gravel.

Condition: There are some slight marks to the lacquer around the bb from chain drop (see attempted pics) and there is some superficial corrosion to the rear mudguard mounting points, but otherwise, it’s in very good condition with no obvious scratches or significant marks.

There’s enough steerer on the fork to comfortably run up to 30mm of spacers. Both integrated spacers/headset covers (5 and 20mm) are included, as is the Factor ‘pizza box’ of spare bits (including spare derailleur hanger). A standard Shimano bb (bb-right) is fitted and will be included. Thru axles are provided.

AFAIK, it’s compatible with all electronic and mechanical groupsets. Officially, the max 2x chainring size is 50, but I ran a 52/36 with no issue. Officially max is 44T for 1x but I know 46 setups have been run at Unbound and similar, so again that seems conservative. Max tyre clearance per Factor is 43mm; when I ran it with 40s, there was still a decent gap. There are 3 sets of bottle cage mounts (tt, st, dt). It takes a standard 27.2mm round post.

Please note the stem and seatpost pictured are not included in the sale, but are holding in the forks and seatpost wedge!

Reason for sale: a recent bike fit has confirmed my suspicion that the geo isn’t quite right for the primary road riding I’m doing these days (audax) and since moving house, the local off road is better suited to MTB. It’s a lot of bike to have lying around as a spare and I would like the funds to put towards a specific audax rig.

These retail at £2650 new. I’m asking £1700 for this (so approximately 1/3 off). That seems fair to me given the cost and age but I’m happy to listen to sensible offers or be told if there’s a consensus I’m way off.

I’d prefer collection (from Tring), and am happy to meet a purchaser with a reasonable (c.45 minute) drive. I can also meet at Tring, Berkhamstead or Hemel Hempstead stations. Alternatively, I can post at cost.

I’m on holiday from Monday for a week but will check in on here periodically to see if there’s interest. Obviously any postage or collection would have to wait until my return (unless someone decides they want it in the next 24 hours!) If it’s not gone by my return I will move to Fleabay.

    Any questions please just ask.
