• Evening folks.
Bit of a (potentially) silly question here.
I'm rebuilding something a bit special, completely original and almost immaculate condition.
It's running classic Shimano DT shifters and as usual the cables need replacing after 37 years of sitting.
What ones would be suitable please? I can't seem to find cables which would fit them with the tiny stops required.
Any help would be appreciated especially pointers for original/genuine Shimano ones.
    Outers have to be black.
I'll post this in my CP thread once all bits are degreased, polished and sorted ;)
    Thanks all. T

  • Dave Marsh at Universal Cycle Centre might have some hanging about?

  • Thanks mate, I'll give them a shout. I guess there's no off-the-shelf equivalents these days? T

  • Dia Compe used to make downtube shifter cables with nipples on both ends, trying to think if one was small for Campag / Dura Ace.

  • Which exact DT shifters? I should have a set of KBL spare if you need ones with a narrower head

  • Cheers. They’re Golden Arrow. Will check the exact size they require when I’m home on the weekend. T
