I used to love my Dekerf singlespeed. All Dekerfs seem to ride so well.

I don’t think so, its this one:

But saying that the top tube replacement by BJ seems a bit of a coincidence. I bought frame and forks only.

Like a couple of others I had one of these. Best bike I’ve ever owned. Sold it to a mate in Australia who then rode it to win the Aussie XC Masters. Wish I still had it also. But wow I wish I’d sold it for that much !

Took it out to take some pictures, wish I hadn't! What a lovely bike, even if it was only 10 minutes ride. Anyway, some spec amendments cos I can't remember everything:
Mavic X517 rims (still ceramic)
Rear hub is the fixed (splined) / free - set up free.
Gearing is 32:16
Front skewer is a Zero Titanium (short-lived UK chi-chi brand)
Top cap is a Niner beer cap oneSeat tube: 18.5" centre to top
Top tube: 22" centre to centreSome pics.

I just don’t use this, sadly, and I will soon have no room for such superfluous frippery. Early (open end cap) DeKerf Mountain frame with triple butted Kona P2 forks, has a more recent 853 top tube fitted by Bob Jackson where it had a repaint at the time too (@ 10+ years ago!). Highlights include: Pauls brakes; White Industries cranks and hubs; Mavic Ceramic rims; Race Face finishing kit. The frame is obviously built for gears but I only ever ran it SS, spec below, parts marked with an * I fitted from new/NOS and have less than 150 miles on them. 17” frame, details to follow.
Will confirm frame size details and do some better pics if genuine interest, probably best to split but I can’t face that at the minute.

Hit me up with any questions, esteemed member of the forum @Lolo can vouch for this bikes prettiness as he was there when it was being built, 8 years ago 😭
