DeKerf Mountain 94 26” SS with many fine parts

  • I just don’t use this, sadly, and I will soon have no room for such superfluous frippery. Early (open end cap) DeKerf Mountain frame with triple butted Kona P2 forks, has a more recent 853 top tube fitted by Bob Jackson where it had a repaint at the time too (@ 10+ years ago!). Highlights include: Pauls brakes; White Industries cranks and hubs; Mavic Ceramic rims; Race Face finishing kit. The frame is obviously built for gears but I only ever ran it SS, spec below, parts marked with an * I fitted from new/NOS and have less than 150 miles on them. 17” frame, details to follow.

Will confirm frame size details and do some better pics if genuine interest, probably best to split but I can’t face that at the minute.

    94 DeKerf Mountain frame
    Triple butted Kona P2 fork
Race Face XC headset in orange with Blue Lug spacer
    Race Face SyStem stem
    Lightweight alloy riser bar
    ATI grips *
    Race Face XY seatpost *
    Selle Italia Turbo Lite
White Industries ENO cranks and ring *
IRD top end (need to confirm model) square taper BB *
Paul Motolite brakes front and rear with Ceramic pads
    Paul Love levers
Wheels comprise White Industries Tracker front hub and ENO (disc, splined) Eccentric rear laced with DB spokes to Mavic 217 Ceramic rims *
Fairweather XC Cedric Gracia pattern skinwall tyres from Blue Lug (discontinued) *
    Halo Clickster freewheel *
SRAM 8 speed chain (the lightest, highest number one)
Shimano 600 brake cable outers *
Dirt Research alloy bottle cage *

£1150 - bike is in Chesham but I can bring it into London for a confirmed sale.

Hit me up with any questions, esteemed member of the forum @Lolo can vouch for this bikes prettiness as he was there when it was being built, 8 years ago 😭

  • That picture shows a different seat post, headSet and bottle cage, no pedals included.

  • That is absolutely stunning.

  • beauty

  • I used to love my Dekerf singlespeed. All Dekerfs seem to ride so well.

  • Love a DeKerf rear!

  • I don’t think so, its this one:

But saying that the top tube replacement by BJ seems a bit of a coincidence. I bought frame and forks only.

  • Bloody hell, that's lovely. Had one of these.......want another one.

  • Oh bugger , pm'd

  • Thats a peng ting

  • Like a couple of others I had one of these. Best bike I’ve ever owned. Sold it to a mate in Australia who then rode it to win the Aussie XC Masters. Wish I still had it also. But wow I wish I’d sold it for that much !

  • Took it out to take some pictures, wish I hadn't! What a lovely bike, even if it was only 10 minutes ride. Anyway, some spec amendments cos I can't remember everything:

    Mavic X517 rims (still ceramic)
Rear hub is the fixed (splined) / free - set up free.
    Gearing is 32:16
Front skewer is a Zero Titanium (short-lived UK chi-chi brand)
Top cap is a Niner beer cap one

Seat tube: 18.5" centre to top
Top tube: 22" centre to centre

    Some pics.

  • Weighs 22lbs with pedals (not included).

  • I have a DeKerf in DeKerf’s “Slime Green”.
    As good as it gets!

Chris DeKerf has built thousands of frames for other brands like Rocky Mountain and Cove.

  • Will happily swap/part ex for a small/medium cargo bike too - Bullit or Omnium stylee.
