Donated, on the off chance I win, prizes will be sold on the forum here and funds will go straight back to the charity; I really urge whoever actually wins to do the same. I appreciate the care taken by everyone to donate goods to a nice prize fund, but we shouldn't need a prize to come together on something so fundamentally human. The "rough value" of the prize fund will make a world of difference to those that need it most.

Hey everyone.
A few of you follow us (August Bicycles) on Instagram already so will have no doubt gotten bombarded with all of our stories already, but for everyone else, we launched a fundraiser yesterday. And it's gone a bit silly, in under 24 hours.
We started with modest ideas of offering up a custom stem and seeing if some of our friends in the industry fancied donating a few tees etc to create a little prize hamper to act as an incentive to make a donation on Just Giving. Seamless link, no?
I emailed a few of our favourites, a few I never thought would say yes and, well, everybody said hells yes. The result is a prize hamper that has become so big, we are scared about how to ship it out. But that's our problem. Your problem is making sure you all donate at least £5 to be in with a chance to win and to know you've contributed to helping the people being affected by bollocks-for-brains Putin.
What's in the bundle so far?
LOADS of tees from framebuilders and bike shops all over the world. They are all sending stickers, sharpies etc and general merch.
A brand new Temple Cycles SS, donated by a lovely shop in Soho farmhouse. Yes, a WHOLE bike.
Customed machined goodies from us, obviously, with paint supplied by Quinntessential.
A set of 700c brand new wheels, donated by a friend in LA.
A Paul Components stem in yellow and blue, plus a sweet tee.
A camera bag from Dyed in the Wool.
A mystery gift from Aarn. We are very excited about this.
Pink Bike Ralph goodies
A mucky limerick, written and screen printed by myself (the booby prize)
Lots of amazing coffee beans
Fairlight goodies
Plus a lot more. Patches, bags, a muc-off haul, vintage parts, a custom coffee tamper from us. The list goes on and people are now emailing to donate, out of the blue. I'm trying to get something fun set up with The radavist too, but you know how quick those guys are on the emails... even when you know them...
This feels different. What's happening to Ukraine and the people in Russia that want nothing to do with this invasion is a devastating blow to the world I think we all thought we lived in. Yeah, it's shit a lot of the time, but for me personally, it's never been pack-my-daughter-off-to-another-country-so-she-doesn't-die shit.
It's time to rally. We need to protest if we can and donate what we can to help people who need to relocate, or need medical care. So, if you can, it would be amazing of you to make a little donation. This is not about us or the other indies donating their time, money and expertise to give prizes. It's for a joint cause. You don't have to like the bikes we all build, or us as people, to get involved. because I feel fairly confident saying I'm sure we all think Putin is a grade-A tosspot. Let's unite over that, if nothing else.
Ps. To the couple of people who already emailed to ask the "rough value" of the prize package. FFS. Just piss off.
