  • My one rarely worn ‘nice watch’. It’s a Burberry Britain BBY1202. Cost about £1300 when introduced 10 years ago. I bought it NOS about 2 years ago from an outlet store for £400. Looking to get £250 but all offers considered

Burberry made a big effort in 2012 to break into the high-end watch market .. producing some very high quality pieces. But they discontinued them after only a year or two

It uses a nice ETA 2824-2 movement and from my testing it exceeds the specs of said movement (12s per day) and only loses 5 secs in 24 hours.

    Dimensions:
    43 x 43 x 10.5mm
    20mm lug width
    Case:
316L stainless steel polished and brushed case made of 34 components
    Screw-down case back
    Screw-down crown
    5 ATM/50 metres water resistant
    Movement:
    ETA 2824-2
    Mechanical movement with automatic winding
Hours, minutes, seconds and date functions
    40-hour power reserve
    148 movement components
    25 jewels
    Custom-made rotor with Geneva stripes
    Incabloc shock protection system

Sapphire glass and a thick Alligator skin strap

  • If held in the right light, you can see some light scratches on the top polished edge of the bezel from where I rubbed out some marks from the brushed face. These can be easily polished out with the right tool from eBay.. or get a watch shop to do it for £20
