• Hey everyone,

Got a cheap Hollowgram Si chainset here that is from an old project never materialised.

Obviously it’s got some heel rub but the intention was to polish it up (to look like a white ind. chainset). Rings have got some life left in them, comes with a bunch of BB30 spacers, axle and bolt.

    52x36, 175 arms.

    Happy with £70 > £65 > £60 > £55 posted - payment with PayPal pls!

  • Oosh love it. Never got round to doing my own hollowgrams before selling them, looks great.

If anyone wants these arms polished up to a mirror finish, but you don’t have the means to do it, I’ll do it for free. I have all of what’s needed.

  • Did the hollowgrams on mine. They look great.
Nowhere near the finish of yours though, that’s some primo quality shiz.

  • Really wish I'd done mine but couldn't be arsed removing them again after fitting. Hollowgrams with spider ring I'd say are the nicest cranks of all time but quite a lot of faff to remove and install.
The smooth clean lines on the hollowgrams looks great polished, no annoying difficult corners to get into either.

  • I work with them quite frequently so no faff.
For one bike I snipped the outer ring and left the inner to run a 1x. On another bike I used an extra long axle, machined the lip off, and installed them as MTB cranks. All polished obviously, and working great.

  • Yeah if your doing them frequently it’s not too bad. Buying them and not realising you need proprietary tools was annoying though!

I’m always jealous when people have the tools and knowledge to machine bits down. I fantasise about getting a lathe in the garage…

Err..yeah, me too. This was done with a drill, vice, a couple of bearings and a chisel…

  • @getoutofbed where are you based?

@TotalShanner that's some very admirable polishing. Any chance you could give a brief run down of the tools used and process?

  • I can meet in Soho any day of the week?

  • Any idea if the axle length?

  • 104mm - this was off of a 2014 Supersix evo

Tested posi for C-19 yesterday so there will be a small delay on dispatch if purchased soon!

  • Last drop before eBay £55 posted!

  • @Chak how did you figure out the axle length and chainline??
@getoutofbed im wracking my brains at how to figure out if i can make them work for me

  • Depends what you want to use it for.
Not sure my purposes really apply for anyone else’s use.
What frame do you want to use them for. These are excellent cranks at a silly price by the way.

If I had another long axle, I’d have snapped them up.

  • for a custom gravel, 73mm t47, which ive got either hope or white industries external bb's, 142 rear, though did see today that the wolf tooth camo spider has a 9mm offset towards the frame

  • If you use the internal t47 bb the these should just work with the 109mm axle.
