• What the title says please. Building up a commuter bike and after something durable and reliable. Something like open pros on decent hubs or similar - I'm open to suggestions. Don't mind a slight bit of wear on the brake track but not too much. Non-carbon brake surface please. Budget up to £200. Located in Dartford/Woolwich and am happy to do a London-based collection.

    Thanks

    Jonathan

  • Would you consider carbon wheelset 1310g .with tyres and 105 cassette vgc for £300

  • Hi - sorry will make it clear on that advert that I'd be after non-carbon brake surface as this is for a commuter build.

  • I have Campagnolo Zonda wheelset (Shimano hubs). Under a year old and not much use put on them. Bombproof. Yell if you'd like photos.

  • what wheels are those ?

  • These are sycros R 1 SOLD NOW.

  • not too bad thanks. a little narrow, shame about the TT style nipples

  • Yeah that's the reason I've upgrade my wheels for a deeper and the tready wider set. But would still be a great upgrade from a set off basis alloy wheelset for someone.

  • I have a pair of Mavic Kysrium Elite S in great condition. 11 speed Shimano hub. Would need posting from Leicester and within budget. Charlie

  • I have a pair of Shimano Ultegra 6500 / Mavic CXP22 32 spoke wheels which have been held as spares for quite a few years. The hub will take 8/9/10 speed cassettes. The hub bearings are smooth and wheels run true with little rim wear. Gatorskin 23s included with some life left in them if needed. Pics of the rear attached, front is same spec. Looking for £125.

    Collected from Ealing W5.
