My goodness that bike would look so much better without those orange rims, not sure what Kona was thinking making these stock.
Does anyone know how this differs from the paddy wagon?

I don't think these are stock rims... they can't be!!!!

Got one of these and i think they are anodised kinlin . Anyway they are crap and i swapped them over for a set of a langster . Massive difference.

Ha, completely agree with you on the orange rims. Perhaps Kona were taking staying cues from Foffa! But they were definitely stock on the band wagon.
Honestly not sure what the differences are, but I think it was the middle in the range of 3 spec wise.
Grand wagon > band wagon > paddy wagon. The grand wagon had Om-nom-noms and Mavic Ellipse wheels I think (from memory). I think the band wagon may have been a more "fashion" conscious paddy wagon. I'd defo swap the wheels too. :)
I suspect my friend would negotiate a bit on the price.
@Chalfie I think all three models had standard caliper brakes, not cantis.

Yep, upgraded Paddy Wagon:

For example Shimano R650 brakes vs Tektro on the Paddy. Aren't these the deep drop brakes broadly equivalent to Ultegra level? It has guard eyelets too so assume that's why the deep drop brakes.

Was just guessing, there must have been a Kona single speed CX?

It will take guards and it does have deep drop brakes . The grand wagon was also 853 and had gold lug lines.

The Kona Major One, had a carbon fork(!)

I had orange rims on a Paddy Wagon and mine weren't anodized but plasticky paint coated i took the risk because they were trash but it scraped of really easy in big flakes and silver underneath and looked much better. I still upgraded them pretty quickly but they looked way better silver for the couple of months i had them. The 2010 grand wagon was/is a lovely looking bike. The Paddy Wagon was my first steel bike and i remember being really impressed with how nice it rode even though it was their entry level Chromoly tubing and thinking posh steel must be a real joy to ride. That turned out to be true and I'd really miss not having a nice steel ride in my rotation now.

Price drop to £280.
Doing a friend a favour by posting this here on his behalf as he's not a forum member (don't judge, he's still a nice bloke). If interested PM me and I'll give you his mobile so you can deal with him directly. He's based in Abingdon, Oxfordshire BTW.
Kona Band Wagon. I believe it's a large/56cm from looking at the pics and by the fact he's 6' as I would have helped him with the size at time of purchase. I'm sure he can take measurements if you want anything confirmed.
He's looking for £300 for the complete bike as seen in the pics below. He's an occasional cyclist and has a geared gravel bike that I think he uses more than this, so I don't think it's seen huge mileage.
He's says it's all in good working order. I've not eyeballed it personally so if you have specific questions about it or it's condition you can ask him.
Thanks, Damian.
