This is a serious ask...
Haven't tried it for years and years but I seem to remember a route that goes from close to Brent cross tube along the canal, under the spaghetti junction area and across the canal if that makes sense? Check on Google maps but I think that's ur best bet. Or a bridge across Hendon way to the west of Brent cross.
Also is this Zero who used to be a courier in MCR perchance?

Haven't been there for years but i've defo cycled there once in the past. This way in isn't too bad but you will be with the cars...
I remember there being a bike rack near the waitrose entrance which I've used before but again this was years ago.

yeah totally ok, there are a number of pedestrian/cycle walkways to cross the northern circular.
have a look at a google or ridewithgps map.
bring good locks and a tyre repair kit, you will find some sort of trolley cage next to an entrance to attach your bike.
depending on where you are i would head to golders green and cross the highway there before turning south west -

Thanks all - lots of useful advice

For posterity - what I did.
There is a footbridge across the north circ about 50m southwest of the junction with Heathfield Gardens. Cross there and follow the footpath on the north side for a short way then you end up on the roundabout that leads onto prince charles drive. Definitely not good cycling infrastructure but much better than cycling on the north circ.

Where were you coming from though? The whole area is a clusterfuck. I used to ride it all the time back in the day. There's ways you can sneak in, they're far less shitty, but hey ho. Welcome to NW London.
Once you pass Brent Cross/Hendon, cycling is a rarity till you get to Stanmore. Not sure why, but I have a sudden itch to cycle around those ways again.

Came up from Hornsey - went through Hampstead garden suburb and temple fortune which was fine. It’s just the last bit that’s horrible. Given Amazon is killing physical shops I cannot see the people who run Brent Cross ever spending the money to revamp it and make it more friendly and accessible for cyclists and pedestrians.

Agreed. Used to work there when I was a wee lad. It’s just horribly located all round. Even driving in is a mess. Finding the tube station is a challenge in navigation.
The whole thing should be turned into a park or re-Wilded.
I need to go to Brent Cross later this week in rush hour and the dark. But I live inside the north circular.
What’s the best way for me to get there by bike, that doesn’t involve cycling on the north circ or one of the major feeder roads onto it?
Also does anyone know if there are bike stands at Brent Cross? The place is so car-centric that it brags about free car parking but makes no mention (that I can see) on its website about where you can lock your bike.
