My parents are using Chromecast to push programmes to their television. They've recently experienced problems with casting not working. Now I know Google have a new Chromecast product but they're stating that old products are still being supported (for the mo). Anyone had any problems with their Chromecast?

Mine always takes two attempts to get it casting from iOS. No idea about android. It didn’t when new.

It’s defo not version 1 as I did have that and replaced it with this one. It’s round if that helps and isn’t the latest version.

Sounds like the 2nd gen one.
I can highly recommend upgrading to the latest one - comes with a remote and a whole new integrated interface that's more like newer smart TVs with iPlayer, netflix etc all integrated.Way less buggy and I think someone just posted that you can get a 4k one for £30ish quid, same price as a normal one.
