Normally I'd be very tempted, but I'm trying to raise funds for a trip. Thanks for the offer though!

Looks a lot lighter than the sinar norma I once used! Wish I had bought the 1st printing of Bryan Schutmaat's GTMS book.

Thanks Glws - it is indeed.

Yep it's super light for a 4x5, but still super sturdy. And I'm with you on that one, GTMS is an incredible piece of work.

Managed to dig out a lens that I wasn't using - so added that to the sale.
A near mint Nikkor-W 210mm f/5.6 in a Copal 1 shutter.
No scratches, marks, fungus or haze. A super all-rounder - great for everything from landscapes to portraits. Lens board included.
More pics to follow.

This might be a long shot on here, but some of you are definitely into photography. And even more of you are into fine craftsmanship. So hopefully this might be of interest to some.
It's a Chamonix 45N-2: a completely stunning and handmade machine built from teak, carbon fibre and stainless steel. It's a large format camera, completely manual, that shoots 4x5" sheet film. Scanned or printed this format offers the most mind blowing depth and image quality. IMO, this is one of the few formats digital still can't compete with. And at only 1550g, it's definitely one of the lightest and most practical 4x5 cameras ever built.
I had two made for me in 2020 and this was the backup camera. It just never got called into action and sat completely unused. The main one has been a workhorse in all sort of environments, even knocked over and dropped - but still straight as an arrow. Truly tough and dependable things. Wonderful photographers like Bryan Schutmaat and others also depend on them. In fact, I think Schutmaat uses this very model.
The camera is in totally new condition, still in its original padded case. I will add some pictures later but here's a link in the meantime: https://www.chamonixviewcamera.com/cameras/45n2
They are handmade in Haining City, China by a team of 8 craftsmen, so waiting times are necessarily long. I waited 3 months from ordering. Unavailable from the new EU store and sold out in China until Spring 2022 - this is a rare chance to get your hands on this camera from within the UK.
I paid just under £1300 after shipping and taxes. I'd like £975 for the body only. Or £1250 for the body + a near mint Nikkor 210mm f/5.6 lens.
Postage with Royal Mail Special Delivery and full insurance for £20. Collection in SE London possible by arrangement.
