I had a very similar conversation a few days ago with my girlfriend. It's still in the freezer for now...

Don’t know about near you but near me there’s a food kitchen that cooks meals for anyone in need.
They get their produce from stores throwing out best before stuff.Might be worth a quick search?

Good shout - I have done a bit with them previously - not sure what their take on a turkey that's been in the freezer for 8 months but worth an ask.

Buy another turkey crown just in case of a Christmas 2021 shortage
A bit of a strange one. Due to last christmas's screw up of announcing who could meet who when we ended up with two turkey crowns and not enough people to eat them.
The surplus to requirements Waitrose extra large (4kg-5kg) turkey crown has been in the freezer since the day it was delivered. Despite me pointing out that NHS guidance says it will be fine to eat my girlfriend is adamant that she isn't going to eat it and it's a bit too much turkey for me to eat by myself.
So, does anyone want a frozen turkey crown? Seems a shame to just bin it. Obvious caveats apply. Although I'm sure it should be fine, if it does happen to poison you then it's not my responsibility.
Collection from near Turnpike Lane tube.
