Sweet. Wrong time for me as I'm moving in a couple months and don't know about space in future places.

Sorry I completely forgot I made this thread, the lathe is about 1000mm long and 400ishmm wide at the widest bit. You need about 350mm behind it to mount the motor.
Selling as I want to get something a bit bigger.
Myford-Drummond M-Type lathe 3.5" x 16" gap-bed backgeared and screwcutting and fitted automatic disengage to the carriage feed. Serial number J2044, manufactured at Myford Beeston works in 1945. In good condition, owned by me for the last few years then owned by an old guy from new in an automotive shop. Comes with hefty 3 way toolpost, and a selection of screwcutting changewheels 20T +20T+30T +30T+35T+38T +40T +60T +65T +73T and a blank spacer gear, recently purchased 4-inch 3-jaw Burned chuck and catchplate.
Also comes with drill chuck and spare, as well as the second set of jaws for the 3 jaw, so can hold a range of workpiece diameters/shapes.
Really solid little lathe that can get a lot done, Ideal for someone looking to get into machining. Small footprint so can fit in a shed/bedroom/kitchen depending on how much you like the smell of metal and oil.

Also comes with a single-phase (so household plug friendly) motor wired slightly haphazardly into a machine switch. As well as a heavily-built countershaft with Pollard self aligning bearings and adjustment for belt tension. It is pictured on a stand but im not selling that as ill chop it up and make something else with it. Its best used on a sturdy bench, the motor and countershaft assembly will come off the stand and could be mounted to a bench. I can weld some mounting hardware to it if you want for another £40.
Its pretty heavy but manageable for two/three people, i can help carry it. You probably could get it shipped somewhere on a pallet, buyer organises shipping. Im in belsize park for collection. Pretty moveable with even a small car, fits in a boot easily. Will leave it on here for a bit then shift it to ebay at some point. Any questions just ask.
Would like £350
