In case of Split I am registering interest in:
Brake levers
Derailleur + cassette -
• #3
What size is the frame?
-
• #4
Sad to see this!
-
• #6
There will also be Nitto racks and Restrap bags available to accompany the bike should the buyer want them. If not they will be for sale separately.

• #8
Hope you don’t have to split - but (ha) I’d be interested in the chainset

Very good bike, extremely good price!
-
• #10
Thanks, which one is it? ;-)
Edit, ignore me seen size.
My size, and I live near... Hum. Can't see being able to think long on this. -

The Brexit import charges to the EU alone on that amount comes to almost £600! And yet still I'm sorely tempted. Lovely frame- the low trail fork with a nice Reynolds frame is sooooo rare.

Such a rad frame, Does a frame make you happy?
-
• #14
People who ride discs and gravel between 5’8”-6’ and don’t buy this bike rn are dumb
Like lol the frame and bars wouldwould cost this alone,
And then it comes with all the nice finishing kit

Thanks all for the interest. Yes I'd say it's a pretty rare frame on these shores. I'm not aware of any others, and they're sold out with no suggestion of Crust re-stocking. Also the buyer will benefit from my importing and navigating all of the customs costs :)

@Bossman Yes a frame can make you happy. :)
This one in particular floats over roots and rocks, has the gear range to get over anything and is just incredibly planted on bumpy descents.
The geometry is wonderfully comfortable, and the handling for a burly bike is quite special.
If you're nearby come on over and take it for a test ride. You won't be disappointed.

It is. Trying my best to ignore the thread...

• #23
Would love to take the frameset off your hands it you ever did decide to split
-
• #24
Thanks for the interest @MrBaklava but I won’t be splitting. Hopefully at this price someone will be keen for the complete bike. If not I expect I’ll hold on to it. Crazy work schedule means I just don’t have the time to break it down and sell components.

I'd buy this if it was XL
Hi everyone.
Selling my Crust Romanceur as work is taking me out of the country and I won't be able to ride it much for the foreseeable.
Crust Romanceur 853 steel frame and fork
Fulcrum Rapid Red 5s gravel wheel set
Rene Herse Juniper Ridge 650x48mm tan wall tires
Shimano XT FC870 crankset with 38t Wolfstooth chainring
Dura Ace bar end shifter
Sunrace 50t-11t cassette
Shimano XT rear mech
Yokozuna Ultimo disk brake calipers
Shimano XT Ice Tech 160mm rotors
Odyssey outer cables
Crust Shaka bars 52cm
80mm Soma Sutra stem. I also have a brand new 90mm Nitto Pearl if buyer would prefer.
Sram Rival levers
Arundel Gecko bar tape
Nitto bar end plug
Simworks / Nitto Froggy stealth seat post
Brooks Cambium Carved C15 All Weather saddle
Leyzne Power Cages
The bike is lightly used with approx 500 miles on it. All components were new when built 4 months ago with the exception of the crank arms which I believe were new in 1987. :) The bike has just been serviced and everything is working perfectly. The frame is a Crust medium, the geo for which is included in the chart below.
The build thread is here: https://www.lfgss.com/conversations/362394/?offset=125
This is a lovely bike that I've had a lot of fun on over the last few months, but I don't want to travel with it and hope someone else can enjoy it.
Collection in Shepperton preferred or I can hand it off to a courier but won't be able to pack or arrange shipping I'm afraid.
£1600.
