Bolt Thru Fixed Hubs??

  • I'm looking for a rear hub to convert the bike to run fixed. Problem is I need a hub that's singlespeed/fixed and disc compatible with a 12mm bolt thru axle./

Is there anything around that fits the bill other than getting a Paul hub?

  • Do you need to have a rear disc when riding fixed? Easiest option would be to get a 6 bolt 12mm standard wheel. Put a 6 bolt cog on the 6 bolt mount and a single speed cog on the freehub. Then flip the wheel and swap the cog for a rotor for single speed.

  • From memory chainline would need to be 51/52mm for a disc cog. Could even run a double chainring and have a dinglespeed if you spaced the freehub cog around 42mm.

    That's a good point.
I'm still unsure whether I'll be running fixed or a freewheel at the moment. Been running the bike as singlespeed previously but with a normal freehub and a wide base cog.

I wonder if this would work with my current wheels to try? Current wheels are centrelock so I may be able to use a centrelock to 6 bolt adaptor then pop the 6 bolt cog on that.
