Apologies for jumping in your thread Sammy_Dodger but I also have a much loved and well used (2009 ?) battleship steamroller that needs to go soon should someone want a 60 cm ctt.
The bird shit decals have also been washed off. -

I’m pretty sure there was a ‘wanted’ thread where someone was after a bigger Steamroller…

Hi Sammy I was wondering how tall you are ? Not really sure on the geometry of the early steamrollers :).
-
• #13
Hey mate, I think the geometry is pretty versatile. I'm 5'11'', with pretty stumpy legs and it fit me a treat - but I like quite a classic frame/ stand-over.

Thanks for the reply Sammy. I’d send you a pm but can’t for the life of me figure out how forgive me I’m a little internet dumb dumb :) Rather interested tho !

@Buttersdc2 not sure how much the geo has changed on these over the years but I ran a 56 steamroller with an online post and 90mm stem with drops as a winter trainer for a few years, fitted me nicely at 5'9

Frame on hold until purchase completed. Will update those who asked if - for any reason - the sale falls through.

Yes my friend, I have been on the hunt for a while now. Do you have any pics?

Add me to the long dibs queue please :)
A bullet-proof blast from the past; my much loved and well used Surly Steamroller.
I'm pretty sure this is the first release of this frame, which can (IIRC) fit up to 32c tyres and is drilled for front and rear brakes (though no braze ons for cables). Frame and forks are straight, true and structurally solid - but with some chips and scars from city use; most notably some tyre rub on the rear of the seat-tube (pictured). Measurements are 55cm ctc seat-tube and 56cm ctc top-tube.
Looking for £200. Collection only from SE23
