  • Would someone like to come over and offer me a low ball lump sum to take away all my unused bike crap and then sell it, to make themselves mad profitzzz?

At a guess I reckon I could make a couple of hundred quid by selling stuff and would probably let it all go for fifty.

    I'm in Herne Hill.

If anyone is interested, let me know and I'll do a post with more info.

In the unlikely event that more than one person is interested, I will accept a vicious bidding war or unarmed combat to the death.

  • I will accept a vicious bidding war or unarmed combat to the death.

    Standing start drag sprint surely?

  • Will consider it. Fixed only.

  • hey if it's got a fair amount of fixed stuff i could be v interested in insulting your ancestors and taking it off you for fifty.

RE: unarmed combat - I was hoping
it was going to go in the direction of turning HH into a quasi-Coloseum and we could engage in a mass start brawl depending on number of interested parties. DM me to make secret alliances.

  • In for the unarmed combat to the death.

  • Interested!!!

  • wot you got? I'm 5 mins down the road and always interested in bits..

  • Right, it looks like I need to give some more info and allow the bids to get rolling. Although, I may well be breaking the rules if I try to run an auction. @Velocio can you advise?

I'll bring out all the shit and photograph it, without itemising it.

  • OK, a little auction doesn't seem to be against the classifieds rules, to my reading of them. So let's do it.

    Photos of stuff attached here.

    £80 takes the lot.

  • I'll start with £50

When do you need it collected?

  • within the next week, but sooner the better really

  • Although, I may well be breaking the rules if I try to run an auction. @Velocio can you advise?

    You can't run an auction.

Auctions are regulated in the UK.
Charity things are regulated (i.e. tombola) but at least have a lower barrier of entry (prove that the draw is fair and you're OK).

So it's best to avoid auctions. You're the one with liability (so I didn't make it against rules). Plus this software isn't really set up for it (it gets messy).

  • I want to do this so bad. Following with interest.

I’ve got a load in E17 that I need rid of.

  • If a price has been asked for (say £50), does people putting in offers make it an auction?

  • Maybe start the price a bit high (100gbp?) then drop it by 5gbp every day until it's gone?

    This might be an idea.

Hummmm, I'll ponder for an hour or so

  • In just for the spectating.

  • Does anyone think a LFGSS bike jumble / yard sale would be a do-able event … ?

  • Yep for sure. Good idea.

  • Changed the photo post.

    £80 for the lot, collected.

  • Lazy fucker.

  • Yep

  • It's a quality I'm proud of.

  • Laziness drove the invention of the wheel.

    And the power tool.

  • Cheeky £70 ;)
