Cheers! Me too - originally from Sleights. So much good riding in the Esk Valley. Hope it reflects that and you enjoy it.

Don’t suspect Sleights has changed much in that time!
So pleased you like it, can highly recommend some of those lanes and bridleways. -

Hey!
Thought this project might be of interest to some of you.
Like much of the UK, the North York Moors was a much nicer place for cyclists to be during the lockdowns. I also found myself with a bit more time on my hands, so I started working alongside a few others on a cycling zine that we hoped would celebrate the routes, roads and cyclists of the area.
We want to show others why it’s such a great place to ride a bike. It’d also be great if cycling could offer an alternative to grouse hunting as the main reason to visit…
So far, the response has been encouraging. Copies are being distributed for free within the moors, but we’re hoping to fund a second volume through a few sales. In case you’re interested, the mag includes:
• 6 route guides, 2 featuring gravel and 1 bikepacking route
• Interviews with Lizzie Deignan, Harry Tanfield and Clare Nattress
• A piece by Leeds based Black Cyclists Collective about representation in the sport
• Articles by authors Jack Thurston & Simon Warren on cycling in the area
• A photo essay about Gus Morton's Coast to Coast ride
• Essays on the area, its topography and its role as a climate sink
It’s all carbon offset and a quid from each sale is going toward the Bike Project, Rewilding Britain and Yorkshire Air Ambulance. We went on sale today and if you’re interested you can find out more at northriding.cc or @northriding.cc on insta.
Cheers!
