I have a few adapters to allow the use of non 50.4bcd chainrings with 50.4 cranks. Then you can fit the more common TA chainrings which have a larger bcd. Any use to you?

Err, could be yes, what bcd do they convert to, can you show me a pic/ link to the type of thing?
Thanks. -

Righto, well I remember that one of them converts to the largest ta bcd which is 152bcd. Here's a link to one listed on fleebay: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/284129184053?hash=item42276b4935:g:Z50AAOSw4Z1f6NQn
Of course it may just be easier and cheaper to find a 50.4 46t ring but from what I believe the 50.4 size is rarer than 152 ones, but perhaps you know better. I guess the best reason to buy if would be if you'd already have a 152bcd 46t ring. -

Ah I see yes, you can get NOS 50.4 jobs got around 30 quid but I was hoping to get something in reasonable used condition.

Yes, but now you've asked for and seen the link to an adapter, are you interested in going this route?

Not right now thanks.

Fine, as long as I know.
Looking for outer chainring, small as possible, 46 ideally. For stronglight 49, 50.4bcd.
I have hills to climb and a tagalong on the back, plus boy. Got a 51 tooth available or for swaps? Will need postage.
Thanks all.
