Brand new set of Campagnolo cables that came with a Super Record Groupset. Not sure of part number. Says 'The Maximum Smoothness' and 'Ultra Low Friction'. Has some gubbins as well. Gear and brake cables. £25 £20

That's a different set.

If the outer cables say "Maximum smoothness" - they're the newer (more expensive) 12s gear cables, both the inners and outers have changed and will provide improved shifting over the 11s version you're referring to in the link.

The brake cables have remained the same and will state "Ultra low friction".

You can use the Maximum smoothness cable set on both 12s and 11s drivetrains.

If the ultra low friction were 11 and 10 speed compatible and the new 12 speed ones are 12 and 11, does that mean 10 as well?

Thanks for this info @MementoMori - I'm building up a 10 speed system so these sound like overkill/possibly incompatible. Undibs.

I've never tried with a 10s setup but I can't see why it should pose a problem. The 12s outer cable / cable stop diameter is slightly smaller than the 11s version but that's the only difference I could tell.

From my experience, it's better to preventively replace 12s cables after xx amount of time as, unlike 11s, you'll not notice any degradation in shifting performance over time. At a certain moment they just snap. That beind said, I'm at 15k with my current 12s cable setup and will only replace them this coming season.

Looks like @Thrasher is about to get a bargain....didn't clock that they were £70!

Does that mean they're gone? I'll happily take them off your hands if for any reason they haven't sold.
