• Anyone want this? It's a 15" Trek 820 in a nice green. Wheels are quando hubs with screw-on 7-speed freewheel.

The seatpost is seized, so that will need a bit of effort. Otherwise it needs:

    1. Rear wheel bearing repacking
    2. New BB, it spins but is loose. Needs replacing sometime
    3. New brake levers
    4. A seat post binder bolt
    5. Recabling
    6. A really good clean, service and lube
    7. A new saddle or lots of gaffer tape

    The good:

    1. Chain showing less than 0.75% wear
    2. Brake blocks have heaps of life
    3. Tyres (Specialized Hemisphere) seem sound and take air
    4. Rims are in good nick
    5. Wellgo pedals spin fine

I'd love to build this up as a kids bike, but I just don't have the time right now to get into a refurb. It was a pavement freebie so free to a good home, although I wouldn't mind a beer for the time I took freeing up the stem.

Pickup from SW London. Can't be ridden away as the brakes are non-functional.

  • Where abouts in SW London are you? Is it a 1 1/8" threaded headset or 1" do you know?
    Thanks

  • PMed you @PhilDAS. I think it's 1 1/8" but I'll check.

  • Is the trek still available I'm in battersea.

  • @PhilDAS is lined up to take it soon, but if that doesn't work out I'll let you know.

  • Pretty sure it’s a 1 1/8”.

  • It is 1 1/8"

  • @jday @billygoat28 this has now gone. Thanks.
