• ! SOLD ! For sale, a beautiful carbon fork for 1 1/8" straight steerer bikes such as the Croix De Fer (2014 in my case)

I was running this on my 2014 931 Croix De Fer and it was mega, huge weight saving over the steel fork and looked great.

Fork is in great condition. Couple of tiny scratches on RH leg and some very minor rub from brake cable. 236mm steerer left and nut fitted

    QR and post mount disc.

Stock images just now, but will load actual images tonight and cut steerer dimensions.

    £165 including postage.

    Proper photos down thread.

  • Would like this, subject to images and measurement on steerer

  • Ok, will get back to you this evening!

  • Out of interest did the different trail on the fork affect the steering much? I’ve got a 2011 cdf (same geo as yours) and thinking about upgrading to something like this

  • Not noticeably. I only road this fork in the summer with lightweight wheels.

  • Do you think it would be an upgrade (or compatible) with this bike? :

Not sure if tapered headtube matters... or what else I might need to swap a fork. I've never messed with a fork before other than taking apart an old mtb one to regrease bearings, putting it back on, and playing with the nuts to make it not too loose/not too tight.

  • I think you just need one of these https://www.tredz.co.uk/.RSP-1-5-1-1-8-Reducer-Crown-Race_100861.htm to allow it to fit.

You also need to check how much steerer you need for your headtube / stack.

  • £175? Anyone?

  • £170 posted.

  • £165 posted? I need the cash but this fork is too nice to give away.

  • i might be wrong but i think you would sell easy by auctionning on ebay

  • I know but ebay are utter bastards, especially since they hold your payment for 4 days post sale.

  • now you are right. but i never had a bad experience with the payment system, since it's not subject to the buyer okaying it. However at some point i sold similar forks (same specs but considerable less quality ) and got pretty much what you asked... ebay allows to reach the 1/8 + QR audience ( lfgss are tapered + thru-axle snobs)
