Anyone on here know Rob Sargent?
Greetings:
For sale is 1950’s era R.O. Harrison track bicycle purchased circa 1965 in South Croydon UK. It appears to have been built for B Patrick of the Harp Road club.
Original equipment is Reynolds 531 tubing, a Chater-Lea crank, Campagnolo alloy seat post and steel head-set, Brooks saddle (not shown), and single Weimann Type 500 brake. The dropout has numbers C-L 1563 and 596223. 61 cm seat post.
It was fitted with 27” x 1.25” wheels in the early 1970s. Front wheel from a Raleigh 10-speed. The rear wheel has both a fixed gear and a free wheel gear from a Vindec Speedster.
Condition is fair considering its age. Paint is faded. Decals are barely legible. There is some rust and plating loss.
The tubes, tires, tape, and brake pads have been replaced numerous times. It was last serviced professionally in 2009. It rideable but rarely used.
I generally sell through eBay & Paypal within U.S. only. I’d like the Harrison to find it’s way back to London.
Please forgive ineptitude with forum selling and international shipping. The intended price is essentially the price of packaging and insured shipping, initial guestimate of $200 U.S. dollars.
If interested more (~6.3 Mb) pictures can be provided.
Regards
Pete Miller
