  • I’ve been sleeping on this frame since it came in the mail. I’m imagining it with different components every day. Do I go full Ritchey classic, nos silver Miche Primato (only because I have an ISO bottom bracket I never used). I don’t even have a headset or seat post collar yet. Do I go full Thomson black or silver? I’m interested in the FSA K-Force SB32 seatpost as this frame is much shorter than my crippled All-City Big Block. The only other company I know with 30+ setback is Velo Orange but they don’t make them in 31.6. I’m also considering using 150mm Rotor track crankset. I bought used time atac pedals at goodwill last year. They seem to be in good condition. Are cleats readily available for older Time pedals? Do current Time atac cleats work with older pedals? Chiller or sleek race bike that will kill my knees? Damn, infinite insanity. Do I ship this to Colombia and make it a small gear ratio, wide bar or drops with brake levers, atv, freewheel mountain goat?

  • hey, great HHSB potential here! I heard that miche BBs are tough to remove and I would highly appreciate a black FSA build, would be something different from the more common seen Thomson finishing kits.

  • My vote is silver & kill yo knees.

Yes, cleat design haven't changed in the 20 years I've been using them so I would expect any ATAC cleats to fit your pedals. Awesome frame :)

  • Update so far.. FSA Orbit headset and black Wolf Tooth seatpost collar on order. Purchased new SRAM GXP. Zipp 140mm stem on back order. I wouldn’t mind a new chain but I have a bronze KMC that I washed still attached to my old trek t1 frame. Another bike I’d like to rebuild in the future.

  • Desperation kicked in and I built it with existing parts. Needs tweaking. Will get dressed better eventually.

  • Driveside edit* leveled saddle and bars slightly upward since taking this photo. Debating future bars still.

    No foot retention?

  • New straps on the way. This handlebar is not the wave. Too deep too narrow too cramped too low. Yeesh. That’s my fault for going for a stock size.

  • My bike feels real good now as it should. Like a glove blessed by the stars above. A new friend gave me a wheelset (surly rear, eai 17t, all-city front), bike kits, romin evo saddle, and a shit ton of socks. Oof. I bought the fsa sb32 post online as it’s no longer in production.

  • All I need is a matching front wheel. I wish there was a 31.6mm 30+ setback seatpost available in aluminum. I might have to buy another k-force on eBay.

  • Digging the Luctor et emergo head badge, the crest of my home province Zeeland!

  • and I learned something!

  • You can find some more details here:

Google translate should do the trick.

The signature on the chainstay says "Jan Kole", the man behind the brand Colossi.

  • I struggled with the lizardskins tape. It looks weird but it works. *I’ll fix it when I find scissors and electrical tape

  • Are you sure you need this much set back on your saddle?

  • I think so. The only bike fit I ever got was on a short top tube frame years ago and the fitter suggested a 32 setback seatpost at the time. I’ve felt more comfortable using them than a regular setback post.
