Classic Voodoo Cyclocross

I love this bike.

Very rare 1997 Voodoo Wazoo cyclocross - from back when Voodoo bikes were effing cool. Joe Murray was at the helm. The bike cost $1499 back in 1997 so not cheap

It’s a Tange Prestige steel frame & fork. Original sparkly green paint. Size 53
Running 25c in the picture but the clearances are massive .. 700 x 42 would fit

Syntace force stem
Salsa handlebar
Ritchey 110 Chainset (quite sought after)
Velo Orange cantilevers - grand cru / zeste
New 8 speed cassette and chain
LX hubs on Mavis MA rims (new axles, freehub and races & bearings fitted)
Rivendell tyres
Cane creek SCR brake levers
XT m739 rear and 600 front mech.

Will take closer shots tomorrow. Reason for sale is - I live in the Yorkshire dales and I need a proper lightweight road bike to get up these bloody hills. I have a Kona Kapu to finish off

Geo could be a issue .. Voodoo catalogues are rare from this period. I might email voodoo themselves to see if they have a pdf from BITD

Some pics. Bad form to leave the grime on, but this was immediately post ride - now clean!

You can see some smudging of the decals as these are on top of the paint. Easy enough to have reproductions made if you cared. Brooks is immaculate as you can see

I searched for a while and paid a good amount for that XT mech, as it’s the rare short cage version of the m739 with the polished cage - which is much cooler than the matte one. The kind of tiny detail which goes in to my builds ;-)

Headtube is 11.5cm

TT is 53.5 effective

Seat tube is 53cm bb to top, or 48cm BB to centre of toptube

No formal dibs in play .. but chatting to a couple of interested parties
