• Hi!

A mate wants to change the drop bars on his nice old road bike to swept back bars. I was hoping to use bar end shifters for this, as it has quite a nice look!

I actually have some really nice DA down tube shifters that I could use, if someone has the fixtures for mounting them into the end of the bar?

If not, I am after some full bar end shifters, indexed or not. I think they have 6 speed so nothing is going to index really anyway...

Happy to ride to collect within reason, I am based in Camberwell.

    Thanks!

edit: Handlebar will be 22.2mm and will require the cable to be externally run, rather than internal as on modern tt bars!

  • Sjs sell some reasonably priced shifter mounts

  • I have just put some on ebay- I would be happy to post them to you. Pm me with a price

  • Are these what you are after?

  • yeah, but do you have the recessed threaded fixture that goes in the middle?

  • Erm not sure which bit you mean.

The wedge bit that tightens into the bar is all there, you just need the to fit the levers as you can see from the photo
