Do you want an external bb? Dura ace 7800 still the best looking hollow tech shimano cranks imo

Silver sram Rival 10speed
De-anodised Rotor polished
Campagnolo Potenza 11
Various campagnolo 10 speed, Athena, centaur etc
DA 9000
Silver 105
Cannondale Si came in silver/can be polished
Basically more modern cranks are carbon or black anodised, you can strip them and polish Or re-anodise silver 👍🏻 -

Maybe not exactly modern-modern, but I'm rocking these bad boys. 46/30, so modern (sensible) ratios at least. And 11 speed compatible of course. #savethesquaretaper
IRD Defiant.

I'm running Sram Omniums on a road bike, bit of a pain to find modern road 144 BCD chainrings though

Yeah found them thanks. They look great. Looks like I'd need to ship from Japan though. No one seems to stock them over here.

alexscycle.com should be a good bet.

Nice. Just found it.
I wonder, was it @marxist_vulcan asked a question on that listing?

42mm chainline sounds a bit shit for 1x tbh or are you doubling up?
-
• #18
Worth noting that the EXP cranks are BB30 only. If your ti frame is BSA threaded then they won't fit.

Omniums are 44.5 mm, so I think it should work fine. At least I hope so - I'm also building a 1x bike with them.

Which chain rings are you running? I found Stone and Garbaruk (not narrow-wide unfortunately) - what else is there?
-
• #21
Yeah, I saw that. Looks like stalking ebay for some DA that aren't too scratched up is the way forward

A Rotor track 3/32 track chainring.

👌
Why are modern silver chainsets so hard to find?
I'm building up a ti frame with silver finishing kit and want to put silver cranks on it.
Seems my only options are dura ace 9000 or newer 105. Are there any others out there?
It seems silver has had its day...
