^Also have a 46T chainring you could swap the 50t out for, so would have 46/28

Never seen that before 50-28T
But that will be very handy for a fully loaded touring bike. -

Ah intriguing. Do you know what metrics the threads are? I've read that a lot of these Stronglight ones have french pedal and extractor threads.

I think they might be French - no markings to say. You can retail French threads for English. I’m out at the mo but let me double check

French pedal threads fairly rare esp on any TA or Stronglights that have found their way over here but obv worth checking ,the extractor threads are different [by 1mm ?pretty sure one is 13mm and other 14mm ] to normal but are easy to get hold of ,I still have and use my TA,certainly no reason to not use those cranks just back the extractor tool if going away long term ,rings even NOS are available at good prices[they made them up to 60t for motor pacing and I think down to 26] just be aware if mixing old and modern the crank arms are straight and modern front mechs with a ‘kink’in the cage foul the arm before having shifted the chain, iam using an old Simplex with the TA but everything else 9 speed ,not sure about Stronglight but the TA can be tailored to single speed/double/triple with correct spacers and bb’s ,think the Stronglight uses same parts

I still need some parts and before I buy all new I thought I'd ask here.
