Magicshine DIY battery pack

I have a couple of good Gemini lights, but the battery packs are knackered.

Thinking about designing a 4 and6 cell 18650 pack that can go in an insulated neoprene holder.

Anyone ever done something similar?

I'm on the case. Got a design for a holder and trying to source a spot welder for doing the battery cells. Might be a while until I complete it.....

No sweat, just wondered if you'd got far.

I've got a load of cree lights, magicshine, gloworm and a few cheap chinese ebay numbers. The head units of the ebay ones are actually pretty decent. Just the batteries that let them down.
Theres a guy on Ebay with an account named Torchy, hes apparently a good source for cells at reasonable prices.

I'll watch your effort with interest
