I'm open to offers :)

Honestly? It’s pretty fucked and basically worthless in its current form unless it happens to be made out of some fancy tubing etc. The handlebars are pretty cool but that’s about it.
Nicer things go on here for a token donation to the forum/charity of ones choosing. -

Should all sellers give stuff away because someone else has?
-

I'm sure seller will adjust price based on advice or if the frame doesn't sell but it is his to sell and decide that.
-
• #10
Oh of course, the seller can ask whatever they want and I completely respect that but it’s fair to point out that it’s basically a basket case.
That’s the great thing about buying/selling on here as opposed to eBay as the values are peer reviewed to a greater or lesser extent.
The principle works both ways of course as many people have been advised if they’ve priced something too low and might fetch a better price on retrobike etc if the market is stronger elsewhere. -

That's fair. Agreed. Apologies if I misunderstood the tone.

I wouldn't say it was 'pretty fucked' at all. The cranks and headset spin freely and there are no cracks or bends in the frame. The bars are good and the brake levers and mechs all look ok. Agreed it looks pretty nasty, but looks can be often be deceiving :) A couple of wheels/tyres/cables and you've got yourself a pub/station bike.
I appreciate the comments (even the narky ones) - and have already said I would be open to offers. If there is no interest in the frame, then that's fair enough and I'll take it to my local tip.

Caveat emptor non standard size seatpost and possibly seized BB, good news is tubing is likely a variant of 531

If this frame were a VW - it'd be described (by those in the scene) as 'rat look' or 'patina' - and all manner of scene-w*ankers would be all over it. I don't pander to scene's or clique's - and I really don't give a fig as to what others 'think/say'.
If anybody wants this - it's available for collection - and it's easily worth a 4-pack of Brewdog/similar beer + forum/charity donation.

Too far for me to collect.
If it doesn't get taken as is and you will post ,I would take the handlebars and brake set for my slightly better Peugeot frame.
Happy to cover postage costs and a 4-pack

Re tubing: my pap had one of these in the 80s. 95% sure it’s high tensile. Weighs a ton. Also those Lee Chi brakes were doggggshit.
Hi,
I unearthed this from my dad's shed (back in Feb this year) - with the intention of fixing it up into a single speed during lockdown - and now, 9mths on I still haven't done anything with it, so it's unlikely that I actually will :(
It is (or rather was!) a mid 80's Peugeot Crazy Horse MTB :) It's somewhat weather beaten, but it would make a great retro-mtb rebuild, or just fix up into a pub/station bike (which was my idea).
There is also a rear wheel, but I've no idea what happened to the front wheel, front mech or saddle and seat post.
First person to show up with 4-pack claims ownership of this French stallion.
Cheers,
Mike
