• hello, more buying yadayaga

    https://www.lfgss.com/comments/15695625/

im building a tosser wagon and would like some tosser parts for it, if you have anything you wish to sell which fits the bill please post and tag me! :>

    things i'm really liking:

    bits from japan

old bmx bits that are mtb suitible

    silver seatpost

only really need a seat post? inline silver, "nice" item, used condition is good/encouraged

    middleburn cranks 1x

essentially any "nice" cranks like a middleburn one, not looking for anything current gen from the big 3, ideally not big 3 at all, but wouldn't sniff at some nice square taper shimanos, 172.5s if poss, but flexible

rear mech and brakes and shifter

need a vbrake and a mech, again, nice, used, functioning, if you have a mini group i'd go for that, 10 speed, ideally, wouldn't sniff at 9 if it's in good condition, can 9 take a wide cassette? ideally something which takes a 42/50t cassette

in no hurry with this, so if you want to dig through your parts bin for tat to sell a yuppy feel free.

    thank you for reading :>

    parts acquired:

    cambium

    found a flite

nice headset 1 1/8th external cup

having a think about just using a cheap one...for vibes..more to follow

classic dirt drops? funky swept risers? jones?!?!?

got enough to hold me over till "the one" comes along

mtb levers vs top exit levers? (bar dependent)

some nice deore xt ones! from @whatfriends along with some brakes

  • COuld I tempt you with this (almost) complete setup? T

  • Got some lovely titanium jones bars . The original ones . See topnpair of bars on the link below , the ones with straight arm. I actually have two pairs as lobe then so much, but keeping one pair.

  • @tomsvoboda while tempting sadly i think i'd like something with a little more "modularity" in the levers and 9/10speed just for future ease. i think i also enjoy the thrill of the chase, cranks are lovely tho.

@Jeromeo these sound nice, interested in pics and price, drop me a pm if you'd like, or post here :)

  • Wil do tonight sir

  • On-one Mary bars? I'm might have one in silver

  • Marys are 26.0 and black.
Also have flared drop Midge in silver, but 31.8

  • marys and midges are actually high on the list list of considered options i have to admit! especially marys, i think i'd want the nitto version of the midge with the smaller clamp.

i'm just holding out for someone with brainworms to have ordered some trendy bars from japan they no longer want, but if they do not i may be back for those Marys, either for this bike or mt pomp!

  • This sounds like it needs some 90s anodised wankery.

I have for your consideration x1 pair NOS Tektro CNC short pull brake levers in resplendent (garish) blue.

    As featured on this build.

It’s not a particularly expensive or over the top build, but has the look of something boutique that you might spot at your local coffee outside ride.

  • yessss this is exactly what i'm talking about B)

wont short pull be a PITA with v brakes tho? (i'm no mechanic, i'm vibe minded so if you/someone could confirm)

i loved this build, arguably sold me on a WW basket bag

  • @Maj got a set of richey comp kyote coming off a bike later on today, if you’re interested I can take pics. Cut from 800 to 700mm.

  • Ah yeah. They’ll bottom out before locking the wheel up.

Back in the box of shame they go.

  • No probs. The Marys are actually 25.4, as per MTB standard.

  • Might have some salsa woodchippers kicking around somewhere.

  • @hanuman thank you! I have a pair of these already, they’re rad, not enough bikes to double up tho

@matteroftaste sound great but maybe a bit too modern looking for me

@gralegav ahah, in my mind there is only “big clamp”, “little clamp” and “need a shim clamp”!

  • Yeah, I'm with you on that!

  • May or may not be your thing, but I have some of those fun late 90s xt vbrake levers, and (sadly only) one set of the even nicer xt parallel push vbrakes. The original vbrake. In fact the only actual v brake... Everything else is just a long arm cantilever brake....poooo to the wannabees..

Oh and if you decide you want mary bars on this and the pomp, I have a set too...

  • these brakes sound nice drop me a pic and a price in a dm if you get a chance!

  • Original jones h bars . Straight arms, not curved (I tried them but did not like )£125 which I appreciate may be wrong price point, but these were expensive when I got them ..

  • definitely nice, i think the price is steep for me but then again you never see these anymore and the crust steel versions were like £100 after import.

i think a fair price for someone seeking exactly them, i'm just a forum scab looking to hoover peoples parts bins

  • No problems. They were silly expensive when they came out like 300 usd plus or some such.
Good luck with your build .
    Cheers j
