• I got the nano torqbar dx from wiggle and when I tried it with all the torqbits 4, 5 and 6nm I couldn't hear the audible click they mention in the instructions. I have another torque wrench which I used to tighten the bolt and it works fine. So I returned it thinking it was probably a returned item that someone damaged (the box was not sealed).

I ordered again from Sigma Sports and the same thing happens! Again the box was not sealed but I am starting to think either I'm deaf or I'm doing something wrong. What are the chances of getting a defective item twice in a row. Does anyone have this tool and had the same issue?

  • I haven’t used that wrench, but normally you can feel the ‘click’ too, almost like it gives way slightly. Does that make sense?

Maybe try it on something you don’t mind over torquing to check?

  • Tried it multiple times and over torqued but no click.

  • If you have a normal torque wrench check the to peak one against it. Put a 6(or8) mm hex bit on one and the matching socket on the other.
Fit them together. Set the torque.Turn the torque bar and see which clicks first.

  • The problem is the torqbar simply doesn't click no matter how much torque I apply.

  • are you sure? it should feel like quite a smooth, dull slipping rather than a click

  • sounds like it is broken. has it been dropped, or overused horribly?

  • Does anyone have this tool and had the same issue?

The issue I've had with these is that over time they drift...and in my case they drifted the dangerous way.

Not sure what's going on with your set. Each bit is a self contained torque limiting bit, would be odd if every single one was buggered.

As above, it doesn't click like a trad torque wrench, it slips. There's a really faint click. I attached mine to a bar torque wrench to see how they were calibrated and out of the box they match the bar torque wrench.

  • It doesn't slip or click, it is tight all the way. I find it odd that all 3 pieces of the 2 sets I ordered are broken. The instructions advise not to try to unscrew bolts with the torqbits on as it can damage the mechanism. Maybe these are returned sets where the customer damaged the bits and they are trying to sell to the next idiot.
