After some shipping headaches ( I live on the Isle of Man) it arrived today. Tomorrow is my birthday so i've put off opening the box until then. In so doing it makes me feel less guilty about adding yet another bike to my collection, no one can give you shit on your birthday can they? Spec wise it should have Cinelli bars and stem with what appears on the photo to be a Miche crank.
As i have said condition looks on the photos to be pretty good so i'd like to upgrade the crankset. An attempt to secure a Campag Pista set in the last couple of days has gone sour with the seller reneging on the deal. Never mind, here's a picture of the box... roll on tomorrow.

Whilst i'm here anyone know anything about Eddie McGrath bikes? I know it is a shop in Manchester and that they didn't build them inhouse ( Mike Kowal?) but any other info or snippets would be appreciated.
Thanks

Unsure at the moment, it really depends on the condition when I get it out of the box. I've got a couple of sets of wheels I could use but i recently bought and overhauled these Campag Record hubs which might look nice on it. A lot will depend on how tight the clearances are.

Your Eddie McGrath looks nice.
I once contacted Neil Orrell about one of his frames a while back, he was extremely helpful. Perhaps he’ll know about these frames, must have seen all the local stuff as he’s also a coach at the Manc velodrome I gather.

Opening time occurred about half an hour ago...
Goods were well packed inside which was a bit of a relief.

Wow! To be honest i'm completely overwhelmed by the condition of the bike it's absolutely mint with just a couple of scuffs where wheels etc have been dropped in...

It's time to reflect on what to do with this. It is in far better Nick than I ever imagined. First job is to check wheel clearances

One last post for now, the bottom bracket appears to be stamped RV 06. Any clues as to who the maker might be from this?

Campag hubs dropped into the frame for a look see. They look pretty nice against the candy Apple paint job so i'll look to build these up for this.

After a bit of hand wringing i've decided to go with Halo retro rims in polished silver. I had been thinking about archetypes and although there is the clearance for the went width I think the slimmer rim will look better. It also helps that the halos are a little bit cheaper...

This is beautiful mate, too big for me otherwise I'd have been v tempted. COlour is amazing and you just can't go wrong with a well made steel track frame like this. Looking forward to the finished build and enjoy :) T

Time for an update. Halo retro rims purchased. Lettering on the rims is very retro if your idea of such is inspired by the 1970's Gerry Anderson space 1999 caper!

Ok so a couple of weeks ago I took a look on ebay and this was listed. It looked in good Nick and with a 63cm seatpost it caught my eye. I'd never bought anything off ebay before and so i nicked my wife's log in and made a cheeky offer for the bike minus the wheels.
The seller accepted and my ebay virginity was lost...
