PS. I know the Q factor will be out by about 4mm but I can live with that.

The splines are not the same, not even slightly.

Oh damnit! OK, thanks for replying.
I have a 7710 crank I can use but the stages arms cost way more for those; I guess there's less of a market for them. -

Here's the splines for ref. Shimano, Sugino

No worries; I think we might be at cross purposes. My Sugino looks looks identical to the Shimano. Only looks mind; I don't have tools to measure it but the number of splines is the same.

I've just realised I should have said DD2 not DD; there's hope yet...

Well well well, I managed to borrow a Shimano hollow tech II NDS crank from a guy in my cycling club. Looks like Sugino copied the Hollowtech II design for their DD2 design.
The Shimano crank fits perfectly; even the Sugino adjusting bolt fits.
So the purpose of this exercise; if anyone wants to add a power crank to their 'sweet fixi' and doesn't want to add pedals or the 7710 stages PM, there is now a third option!
Hey, so a bit of a long shot here.
Is there anyone here using a Sugino 75DD2 crank who also happens to have a Shimano (24mm axle compatible) NDS crank arm lying around?
I'm currently using a 75DD2 crank with a Shimano 9100 BB. I'd like to replace the Sugino NDS crank arm with an Ultegra R8000 arm with Stages power meter; thus allowing fixed gear power data!!!
Given that the BB works OK I think clearances will be good but not sure if the splines are the same. There's no reason at all to think they would be other than that it would have been easier for Sugino to copy an existing design than create their own...
Anyone?
