• Used wheelset that needs a new rear rim. Bearings could do with a service after another winter. Good sound, but I’ve just greased the pawls so running a bit quieter now. Spokes are bladed front and standard rear.

Shimano 11 freehub. 20/24h. 1575g weight. Running true.

PMP hubs are similar to hope but made in Italy, so more niche.

This was a £650+ custom wheelset.

    Looking for £180>160>150 collected E17.

  • Campag or Shimano freehub?

  • Shimano. Just added to OP. Thanks

  • interested in pics... cheers, Matt

  • Here are some pics. The worn brake track is the rear rim. @mattyc

  • Thank you, I'm going to hold fire for now...
    GLWS!

  • Thanks. no problem

  • Price drop to £160

  • Some extra information on the hubs from DCR’s website:

    PMP – £250/pair, 396g/pair

Beautifully made. Alloy axles, alloy bodies. Exceptionally durable, using a range of high end bearings including some SKF bearings. They have big shells, decent sized axles and decent sized bearings. It is more of a Phil Wood/Royce approach although it is all alloy body and axle design. If these hubs were even 50g lighter, I am sure they would be a lot more prolific. The weight is almost the same as the DT 350 which is the closest comparison in many ways. I would rather run a PMP hub than a 350 as I think they are more unusual and more interesting, however the versatility of the 350 and popularity of the 240s and other DT Components means that most opt for DT.

  • These are fantastic hubs and a bargain at that price. I’d buy them if I didn’t own a pair!

  • I agree! Surprised they haven’t been snapped up.

  • Last drop: £150

  • Here’s a photo of them on a bike. They ride very well. The graphics on them are very subtle IMO.

  • I’ve been told these may suit a lightweight cantilever cross bike, too.

  • Ooft, if these are somehow still around after Christmas I'll take them!

  • I’m tempted... I’m going to see whether an XD-R driver is available for them...

  • I used to have some of these rims and loved them. Ran them with 25mm tyres which swelled up very plush on the wider rims. Raced them and toured them, rock solid, light and lovely. Then that bike got nicked and I switched to discs. Miss them still. GLWS, as alloy goes it doesn't get much better.

  • Yeah, a 25c comes up 27.5mm on these and lines up very nicely with the braking surface for whatever aero gains there may be.

  • You can still get a matching new HED rim to replace that rear one, too...

    Great wheels, GLWS!

  • The rear is 24h, which is out of stock.

  • Sigma will order them in.

  • Some more info on the rims, which are tubeless ready.

Our Belgium clincher rims are the same rims as used in our Ardennes Plus wheelset collection. By offering a rim only option it allows private wheel builders to add our industry leading wide rim performance to their portfolio. Suitable for all road clincher or tubeless-ready tyres our Belgium rims lower rolling resistance, increase comfort and improve cornering grip, taking performance to new levels.

All Belgium rims feature a welded rim joint, and are drilled for a standard presta valve.

  • Instead of a price drop I’m going to keep it at £150 but donate £50 from the sale to Shelter, inspired by lowbrows.

  • Apologies - just actually read the OP.
