Last chance for anyone who wants / needs a beautiful, fast road bike for lockdown. After this week going to order some bling wheels for it and keep it in the stable.

Scott Addict RC 30 2020, size Medium (54), £1,995
The Bike:
This is the 2020 re-designed Scott Addict RC model. It is the top-end World Tour frame ridden by the Mitchelton-Scott team (not to be confused with the lower quality normal Addict model, which is a completely different frameset). This is by far the best frame I ever ridden. It is noticeable even at my level of riding just how stiff and responsive this frame is. It climbs beautifully and could have been made for British riding conditions the way it flies up rolling hills. The ability of this bike to maintain speed relative to your effort never fails to take my breath away. It is however not harsh or tiring to ride and the 28mm tyres definitely help with that all-day comfort.
The paintwork is a beautiful deep blue that sparkles in certain light and looks stunning with the tan wall tyres.
Framesize is the popular 54/medium (see Scott website for geo). At 5’10 this suits me perfectly but I suspect there is lots of room either way.
The cockpit is entirely clean of cabling, which is hidden entirely inside the stem. This makes the front-end look and feel incredibly efficient and smooth.
This bike is the factory spec RC30 Model, so comes with a full Ultegra R8000 groupset, Syncros RP2.0 disc wheels, syncros finishing kit and Schwalbe One Race-Guard 28mm tyres (not tubeless). Gearing is 50-34, 11-30, which is a great range for the hilly terrain for which this bike was desgined.
It currently sports a 4iii Ultegra l/h crank power meter, which could also be included by negotiation.
Claimed weight is 7.88kg, not at all bad for a disc-brake bike with Aero design features.
The Condition:
This was purchased new from BW Cycling in Bristol in December 2019. It was very lightly used until the Summer and since then it has been ridden 2,146km (all my riding is logged religiously on Strava so this distance is true and accurate). It remains in excellent condition. It has been regularly cleaned and serviced and the chain treated with Squirt chain lube which keeps it running smooth. This bike is not used in bad weather, ever. I cannot find any blemish or scratches on the bike but the purchaser is, of course, welcome to inspect for themselves.
The shifting is flawless, there’s loads of life left in the tyres and hubs and rims run true and straight. There are no mechanical issues whatsoever that I am aware of.
The tan wall tyres have got a little dirty over time as you can see in the photos but that’s purely cosmetic and could probably be mostly scrubbed out with a bit of patience.
The Sale:
It might raise eyebrows that I am selling a bike I profess to love, but the only reason for the sale is to part fund the 2021 RC PRO model, which has an upgraded spec but exactly the same frame. I can’t see myself ever wanting to change to a different frameset now I’ve ridden the Addict RC. Scott road bikes are pretty much sold out for 2021 already you can see why, so this is a good opportunity to beat the queue and acquire a top class model that frankly is virtually as good as new.
The deal:
I am asking just under £2k for a bike that cost almost £3,500 less than a year ago. I think that’s a fair price given mileage and condition. Whilst I would never say “no offers”, I’m looking for this price or close offers. Collection from Winchester is preferred but I am happy to look into posting or, ideally, delivery / meeting halfway for those that live further away from me. I don’t mind driving a couple of hours to have the peace of mind of giving the buyer the chance to do a (no-obligation) inspection and to reduce transit damage risk.
Pedals and bottle cages are excluded as usual.
Please drop me an email or PM for more details.
