Surly Karate Monkey - Large - Black - SS

Hi guys,

Selling a Surly Karate monkey in size large.

Bought this bike in hopes to change it back to a geared bike however realised I really didn’t have the time of knowledge to do this therefore I have went ahead and bought another bike already geared.

Not too up on my bike knowledge so I’ll let the photos do the talking however it’s a large frame and it’s running a 700C wheel set with loads of tread on the tyres. The chain is currently off however I can put it back on if I find a chain tool !

I paid £725 for the complete a few weeks ago and I am looking to lose money on it selling it at £650 as I really need to recoup the funds.

The frame had a seized seat post however I had this professionally removed by a frame builder who sprayed the area which the paint was damaged with some matte black paint. You will want to put some lacquer over this probably ! (New seat post installed with grease !)

I am based in London E1 however can meet most places if you are not able to make it over.

The pedals are a bit garish for my liking however having a quick google they seem to be kinda pricey so that’s a bonus I guess for the buyer !

Thanks mate, can I just confirm it’s definitely size large as when this was listed on eBay from the previous owner it listed as XL.

Definately a Large! I measured it against the geometry of the Large frame spec listed on the Surly website for the 2015 Karate monkey. Also the previous owner confirmed he listed it wrong as he was in a rush to sell !

Bumpy bump, still here if anyone’s interested. Will drop the price to £625 before I pop it on eBay !
