OT - Large beautiful Edwardian bookcase - SOLD

  • Selling this as we need a different type of storage in the room that it resides.
The wife and I still love it but we can't accommodate it elsewhere in the house so it needs to go.
It's apparently called a Dewesbury cabinet as it has drawers and a bookcase (which is unusual) however I'm no antiques expert.
    It's 197cm made a mistake sorry 237cm high, 130cm wide and 50cm deep at its widest/tallest/depth measurements.
It's made of solid mahogany and is in fantastic condition.
it has another original shelf (not pictured), the handles, glass, mirror and key are original.

It splits into two sections, mirror + bookcase and drawers.

    We'd like £250 £99 £95 o.n.o, based in E11.
As it comes apart I think you could fit it in a car.
I'm available to assist with lifting at this end and could maybe arrange a courier if required.

  • Beautiful and a very good price too. I think the mantle top should come off too - check if it screwed into the bookcase, so it could be three pieces and easier to transport. GLWS

  • Cheers for the tip I'll check, the more sections the better, it weighs a ton!

  • Now want this gone so price reduced!

  • Bargain, too bad I don't have transport for it!

  • @3c70 where are you based?

  • N10

  • I don't think it would be wise for me to take it though. I've had to reduce my furniture after last move. Glws

  • OK cheers

  • Made a mistake on the original post with the height of the shelves so have edited and added this which might help.
