WTB: ladies bike / general runaround

Posted on
  • Trying to help a friend find a bike for shops / pub / park. She never cycles and doesn’t have loads of confidence on the road, something relaxed ideally. I.e not a road bike.

Anyone got anything, say sub £200 and mechanically sound or cheaper and I can fix it up. Open to anything, was considering maybe trying to find her a Raleigh shopper.

Preferably based north or east or central London for pick up.

Shout or feel free to PM

    Cheers

  • £45 Retro Mapei helmet included.

  • Thanks for the mention!

I have reviewed my pricing strategy during these unprecedented times so have no bikes for sale at that price point unfortunately...

  • Vultures ! : )

  • There are still plenty of £50 bikes at Brick Lane market on Sunday morning for those refusing to pay a reasonable price for a reasonably good bike! ;-)

  • trust me, I hear you- have told her the same and that she'll only end up spending more getting whatever she finds fixed.

Told her this was a good buy but she didn't want to spend that much..

Non-cyclists are weird about how much bikes cost - I actually gave up helping mates sort bikes out, but I appear to have been sucked in again...

  • I have a few friends who took up cycling and keep being shocked about prices...

£30 for a tyre without fitting, that's more than my car

£250 for insurance for the year? Might as well get a cheap bike every year

    £75 for a lock? That's mental

    Etc...
