I took this photo of two Haflingers having a bit of a cuddle. Haflingers are horses therefore I have contributed to this thread. That is all.

Not much horse news. Do they go south to overwinter?

great tribute and reflection 'All the Queen's horses' on TalkSport this morning.
Horse Racing has lost its greatest patron for sure.

Horse news. This morning my 3yr old daughter wanted to read a story about horses, which I did. I then thought it would be nice to go and see a real horse. I was just about to head to Wanstead Park stables when Mrs Oat said she had seen some random horses on a miserable patch of grass just round the corner. So we went to see them instead, very fine they were too. But no way the patch of grass could support them. My daughter then wanted to see some sheep, so off to mudchute city farm we headed. On our way, Mrs Oat saw a Facebook appeal for horses stolen from Lea Valley Riding Centre the night before that somehow filtered its way down to a local WhatsApp group she was in. Incredibly the markings matched exactly the horses we saw. When we went past on the way home the horses were gone, so I asked some workmen digging the road nearby. They said 20 mins earlier 2 ladies had taken them, and sure enough according to the updated appeal page they were now safely recovered. Faith in humanity vaguely restored.

Had these horses roamed free of their own accord or had they been rustled?
-
• #22
A temporary fence had been built to block off the park, so my assumption was they had been rustled
