You should definitely bring Homer to Epping, no matter how many handlebars you have to carry with you :-)

• #2428
shame they won’t ship
perfect excuse to get the train to somewhere you've never been, pick up rad bike, bring it on train home

after the week i've had on the south coast i will be avoiding the west country for a little bit for fear of another "trans version of get out"
@BareNecessities i actually went to blb to buy some handlebars and they didn't have any, @Thrasher will be riding the homer tho, i will not be heeding your route advice and instead will be riding my cross check - it will have 5mm more tyre width than the bike i first rode one of your routes on and 8 more gears
@Josh i sadly wont buy a cop bike but i woun't say no to a giant

Little post tour shake up
Rackless for me , racked for the partner
They’ve wanted a rack for a little bit but said they should see if they’ll actually use it before spending cash on one, it looks neat at least.
Missing the panniers already myself,
Rear rack might go on the homer after thrasher has rode it for Epping, might encourage me to ride it more, and will let me know if the whole system is too heavy
We’ve also decided to keep the pacer as a lock up bike between us, helps us condense bikes into 4, frees up room for each of us to have a rotational one, and stops them talking about getting a “road bike”?
Insane shit people talk about when they first find out about bikes, before 2 years later they go back to insisting they need to ride their tractor everywhere

Huge fan of this, thread had gone wild with blue sid chat and road bikes, just the best.

I've taken my geared bike to Wales and I'm terrified something is going break and ruin the ride, knew I should have taken the fixed :(
Track is so much fun!

Catching up here after a 4 week's break from the forum. So many things I want to comment on but for everybody's sake I'll keep it in bullet points :D
- The most important one: I am so sorry for the experiences you made on your New Forest Trip. It is such a nice and easily enjoyable place to ride in and it's fucked up that it can't simply be enjoyed by everybody. I hope it doesn't discourage you and your partner from doing more of these trips!
- Big kudos to @Thrasher. Such a cool bike to pass on. I saw it in real life when He picked up some stuff from my place.
- I really enjoy all the variations of the pacer. In my opinion that's the whole spirit of a practical, functional but also somewhat bling (to those in the know) bike.
- Fuck yeah get a sick hardtail. I am looking forward to the build and the current (anti) trend analysis that will go with it.

i had these on the original homer! they now live on @yoshy 's inbred
they're too wide! and the wide lower section makes them look odd when you cut them down.
this trend of mega wide 800mm 35 stem long front center 29r mega slack is great if you're racing down hill as fast as you can, but it's pretty much shite to anyone who's got a short wing span or simply cannot throw that amount of bike around due to physique.
at least this is what i learned from my time with the motos , and stooge junkers with a 50mm stem i had after them.
700-600 is really my sweet spot in bars, and im 6ft! no idea who 800's are made for.

I really like the Motos at full width on my MK4, until I punch a tree in the woods, then I hate them.
